Pumpkin Carving Party (um....really COMPETETION!!!!)

On Monday night before Halloween, we hosted a Pumpkin Carving Party that involved our family and four other families.  Last year we attended the 1st of what we will hope to be an annual event every year for us.  Last year I made some homemade awards for the adult and kid prizes from some candlesticks and fall decor I found at Goodwill.  This year I added some more trophies I found from the dollar section of Target for Funniest/Scariest and Most Creative.  The rule is that who ever won the award last year gets to hand out that award the next year and you have to keep up with your trophy for a year until next year's party.  Here are some of the winners:

Jason carved a sweet Winnie the Pooh for Spencer and Grayson.

Belinda and Patrick's pumpkins were what was left at the store when they decided to come the day of the party!

Mark is trying to steal so creativity from his younger brother!
 The kid carvers.
Yoda, a cat, Pooh bear, and R2D2.
The other side of the table.
Here is everyone awaiting the announcement of the awards.
Lincoln won the kid category with a little help from mom.  But he LOVED and ADORED his trophy.
Patrick won the 1st Place for Adults-his was eating another pumpkin.
Here is the prize for Most Creative
Belinda won Scariest/Funniest-which it is you can decide.  Ultimately we decided he looked like the scarecrow character from the first movie in The Dark Knight series of Batman movies.
Since Jen was so busy helping out everyone else, she actually carved hers after the awards were given out.  Maybe next year Jen!
This is Cindy holding our kids-she just loves her some baby time!
