Telling our friends and families about our new arrival

We told some of our friends here about our new baby on the way right when we found out.  We put Spencer in her "big sis" shirt and headed over to their house.  Spencer had a sweater on as her coat-you know how bitterly cold it gets here in Savannah :)  All of our friends were going to a local parade that day and we just took Spencer's sweater off and let her wander around with the "big sis" written on her.  It took a while but they finally noticed too.  Then we all went to the Christmas parade (where we got paper towels handed out to us!)

We decided to wait until Christmas to tell our families.  To tell my mom's family, we had everyone pose for a picture outside (since it is such a large group) and it was kinda dark because we waited until everyone was present which was not until 5:00.  Jason aimed the car lights at us and said, "Okay, on the count of three, say 'Jenni's pregnant!'"  The funny thing was, not everyone believed us or they thought we were joking!  So here are some of those shots.

I actually had to inform everyone that we were really pregnant!  My dad's family found out at in my grandmother's hospital room.  We get together with them every Christmas eve night and open bag gifts-my grandmother gives us very useful and practical gifts in a little bag-qtips, tissues, lotion, and usually some fun thing.  We usually do this at my Aunt JoAnn's house.  She was in the hospital this Christmas so we just packed up the party and took it to her in her room.  Spencer had a blast playing with the privacy curtain.  She passed out all the bags and everyone buys something useful for her and puts it in her bag.  She opened her bag last.  Then I said that Jason and I had one more gift for her "bag"  but that it wouldn't get here until August.  "WE'RE PREGNANT"  Everyone was so excited!

We told Jason's parents before opening gifts at their house a few days later.  We talked about our blessings over the past year and Jason's mom said something about having grandchild to love on.  Then Jason said, "Are you ready to have two to love on next year?"  Once again, I think she thought we were joking but she was excited too.

So now we are waiting for the big announce on Facebook for after my trip to Houston in February.
